Fischer-Dieskau Dies at 86

One of the greatest voices of the 20th century, the celebrated baritone Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau died today. Famous for his interpretations of German Lieder, Fischer-Dieskau also performed and recorded many sacred masterpieces such as Mendelssohn’s Elijah and Britten’s War Requiem.
